Female Hair Loss Treatment? Dermatologist or Dessange?
I’m a female in my early 20’s. I’ve been suffering for the past months from extravagant hair loss. My mom even noticed that the amount of hair I’ve been losing lately is “abnormal” I’m simply covering the house with all this hair I’m losing.
I want to know the causes, and ways to prevent it. I’m still young to get a bald head!
I’m thinking of two solutions, which one would you recommend:
- Going to a Dermatologist.
- Going to (Dessange) Saloon http://www.alghalia.com/PDF/Salon.pdf
They have (hair teraetment sessions). If that doesn’t work, then I go to a dermatologist.
What do you think?
For extra information:
Eating: I eat healthy. I’ve cut back on things I used to eat and don’t need (chips, chocolate, etc) and have taken out breakfast from my routine for about 3 days a week. I I have lost 2 or so Kilos. Still eat well.
Stress: I don’t feel I’m stressed out especially that I’m on vacation.
Sleep: I do wake up during my sleep, but generally I sleep well.
My monthly cycle is normal.
I feel my hormones are normal, since there are no other symptoms.

Don’t cut out breakfast, that won’t help. I would go see the dermatologist first. There are a lot of skin conditions that can cause hair loss. It could also be a change in hormones. is you monthly cycle normal?
I would recommend a dermatologist, but even before that I would recommend talking to your primary care physician to see about the possibility of a hormone imbalance as a cause for the hair loss. Thyroid conditions as one example can cause hair loss to occur.
It is better to consult your Dermatologist .Here is a simple remedy which you can try. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Sorry that this is happening to you, but this is a good question. First, you need to LOOK at the hair that has fallen out to determine the cause. Brush your hair as you normally would. Take any sheddings and examine them closely. If they are all of pretty much the same length, AND there is a white bulb on the end of them, then you are losing hair at the root, and that is an internal problem, possibly hormonaly related, or herditary. Woman are the gene carriers for baldness, not just male pattern baldness, so check out mom’s side of the family. Are your uncles bald, or any cousins bald on her side of the family? Now if the hair that you have brushed out are of mostly varying lengths and no bulbs at the end, then it is a external problem, something in a styling product, or an exessive amount of heat on the hair. These are good rules of thumb to go by when determining hair loss. If you find that it is external, the I would suggest if you use styling products that you use a line that is sensitive to heat styling. May I suggest CHI styling products. They are silk infused and give your mane a beautiful luster filled look, without the oilyness and they help protect fro thermal exposure. Their lie can be found just about anywhere now. Your hair will thank you. If you get your hair professioanl styled, they will knwo exactly what yu are talking about. If it is internal, you must get to the root (pardon the pun) with the help of a dermatologist, as they are quite skilled on determining what is causing scalp (which is skin) problems as well. All the best!
go see the doctor
You say you are eating healthy, but taking a multivitamin once a day can’t hurt. Yes.you can be stressed out and not realize it. Have a blood workup done to see if there may be any medical causes for the hair loss. Other factors that would contribute to hair loss are pulling your hair back or putting it in a pony tail when hair is wet. Use a good conditioner and possible hair oil treatment. If you get perms, straighten your hair, curl your hair, blow dry your hair and all the other things us women do to our hair it will cause damage. If you dye your hair as well. You can have male pattern baldness even if you are a woman. It can be hereditary from your Dad or his male relatives. Talk to the doctor. I wish you the best ;as I loose hair too…….some of which is natural. If it’s falling out from the follicle, then it won’t come back. Many women also get hair transplants. You must find out the causes and that means seeing a doctor. Good luck as I know this can be devastating to women especially…….as our hair is our “crowning glory”.
