I have alopecia (bare spots) and have seen a dermatologist who was no help. I need to find someone who specializes in female hair loss more than just a dermatologist. What can I Google or search? I’m having NO luck. Thanks!

  1. Go to a good black hair dresser and get a weave! You don’t see a lot of black women with visible alopecia. Why? Because we know that hair extensions are our best friends. A good hair dresser will match your hair color and texture (whether black or European), glue or sew in what’s necessary. My grandmother did this when her hair was thinning and she looked fabulous. Some will say it’s not the best thing for your hair, but it’s a tried and true remedy.
